Exhibition: ヌルヌルスタジオオープニングイベント《NULLNULL》

【スタジオ名称についてのテキスト】
このスタジオは、諏訪部佐代子と君島英樹によって設立・施行されたスペース。
今回の展示は、2021年2月21日のオープンを記念して、二人の展示を行ったものである。
1)ぬるぬる
私たちの最大の敵は床だった。
入居時すでに床に塗布されていた材料不明の物質xが生み出すぬるぬるのマチエール。
2)NULLNULL
“NULL”はプログラミング言語にて利用される単語で、“何も示さないもの”を意味する。
ドイツ語において Null は数値のzeroである。英語では存在しないこと、を意味しラテン語で「無」を意味する nullusに由来する。
2021年2月21日現在私たちを縛るものは何もない。ゼロベース、前提のない、柔軟なスペース。
3)塗る塗る
壁を建て、塗ることから私たちの制作場所は始まった。
ペインターと話すと絵画の制作過程において「塗る」という言葉はなんとなく嫌煙されがちのように感じることがある。塗る行為それ自体には描くことが含有する主体性のようなものが欠けているからだろうか。私たちはおよそ3ヶ月もの間自分たちの求める壁の質感を目指しその行為と向き合った。

This studio is a space established and interior finished by Sayoko Suwabe and Hideki Kimishima.
This exhibition is an exhibition of two people in commemoration of the opening on February 21, 2021.
1) "NULLNULL"= "Slimy" in Japanese
Our biggest enemy was the floor.
We named by a slimy touch produced by a substance x of unknown material that had already been applied to the floor when we moved in.
2) "NULLNULL"= "00"
"NULL" is a word used in programming languages and means "without value".
In German, Null is the number zero and it means "not exist" in English. It is derived from nullus, which means "nothing" in Latin.
As of February 21, 2021, there is nothing to bind us. Zero-based, premise-free, flexible space.
3) "NULLNULL"= "Coating, coating" in Japanese
Our space-making began with building and coating walls.
When talking to the painters around us, the word "coating" in the process of making a painting can somehow feel not appreciated. Is it because the act of coating itself lacks something like the independence that drawing involves? However, for about three months, we faced the act of "coating", aiming for the texture of the wall we wanted.
